REMMONS@PICA.ARMY.MIL. The US Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal
intends to acquire under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One
Responsible Source, a requirement for the production of 1,824 Shipping
and Storage Containers for use with the XM97 Wide Area Munition (WAM)
Collective Training Device. The Government anticipates utilizing
Conco, Inc., Louisville, KY., for this effort. The use of the above
authority is based on the unacceptable delivery delays that would
result from the acquisition of this requirement from other than this
source. The Collective Trainer is a totally inert training device which
will be used to "train" personnel in a collective environment on all
the operations required to properly arm, emplace and deploy the
tactical Hand Emplaced Wide Area Munition, XM93. All external colors,
dimensions, weight, center of gravity, and materials of the Collective
Trainer shall be representative of the Tactical HE-WAM. The Shipping
and Storage Container is used for interplant shipping of the WAM during
its production phase, and to its final destination. The shipping and
storage container is cylindrical in shape with dimensions of 11x11x 22
inches. The material is steel. The solicitation contains information
that has a military or space application. As a result, the drawings in
support of the solicitation, can be obtained after submitting a
completed AMSTA-AR Form 1350, Technical Data Request Questionnaire, and
the DD Form 2345 Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, to the
point of contact listed in this notice. The AMSTA-AR Form 1350 is
available from the point of contact listed in this notice. Respondees
who currently do not have a Department of Defense
Certification/Registration Number, needed to complete the AMSTA-AR Form
1350, should reference numbered Note 8. The delivery requirements will
include: 1 ea. sample Shipping and Storage Container to be delivered
for review and approval prior to production, 12 weeks after award. The
remaining specific delivery requirements are as follows: 499 units-18
weeks afteraward, 500 units-22 weeks after award, 500 units-26 weeks
after award, 324 units-30 weeks after award. When issued, the
