Dreger, Contracting Officer, (850)234-4863 The Coastal Systems Station, (CSS) Dalgren Division (Dahlgren), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) is seeking sources to provide a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) life preserver that would be used in conjunction with a chest mounted underwater breathing apparatus. Minimum physical characteristics of the life preserver shall be as follows: (a) Adjusting torso and/or leg straps (b) Power inflator (c) Over pressure relief valve (d) Rapid dump exhaust valve (e) Quick drains (f) Easily maintained (g) Repair parts readily available in dealer stocks. Low magnetic signature and capability to use current inflation bottles (standard CGA 346) are highly desirable but not mandatory. Both the standard life preserver or buoyancy compensator style will be considered if they meet the aforementioned requirements.
