C -- A/E SERVICES FOR GRAVESITE EXPANSION AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT CAMP BUTLER NATIONAL CEMETERY, SPRINGFIELD, IL SOL 550-05-98 DUE 032398 POC Cari Walton, Contract Specialist, (217)-431-6538 The VA Medical Center, Danville, IL is seeking an architect/engineering firm to prepare preliminary drawings and to provide all related preliminary services for a project at the Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL for the purpose of expanding existing gravesites and to perform miscellaneous site improvements. The A/E contract will be negotiated for a fully developed preliminary design with an option for award of a contract for complete working drawings, plans and specifications, full construction period services, and site visits pending approval of the preliminary design and negotiation of an acceptable price for each portion. The designed project will consist of site sensitive development of in-ground burials, roadways, landscaping, and signage. This project will also include the design of a 650 square foot Committal Service Shelter. A Scope of Work will be available at the time of A/E selection. The estimated construction cost estimate for the project is between $1,000,000 to $2,000,000.The area of consideration is limited to firms within a 200-mile radius of the city limits of Springfield, IL. Selection will be based upon but not limited to general expertise in architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and structural engineering, specialized expertise in commercial design, site sensitive development and landscape architecture, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the contract. The Standard Classification Code relative to this procurement is 8712. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Demonstration Program and is not set-aside for small business.
