21ST ARMY SCIENCE CONFERENCE CONFERENCE NOTICE, 21st ARMY SCIENCE CONFERENCE, 15-17 JUNE 1998, NORFOLK WATERSIDE MARRIOTT AND CONVENTION CENTER, NORFOLK, VIRGINIA. The 21st Army Science Conference will be held at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott and Convention Center, Norfolk, Virginia, 15-17 June 1998. The conference theme is "Science and Technology for Army After Next." The Biennial conference was inaugurated in 1957 to provide a forum for presentation, discussion, and recognition of significant accomplishments by U.S. Army scientists and engineers in their efforts to support the combat soldier of tomorrow. The three-day meeting will feature the presentation of 100 papers which will focus on key emerging technologies. The setting will encourage face-to-face discussions between presenters and conference attendees. Attendance will be beneficial to both management and technical personnel from industry, universities, and Government who have an interest in the application of new scientific and engineering technologies. The Conference promises to strengthen the industry/Government and university/Government partnership and help pave the way to future successes in U.S. Army R&D programs.
