The Treasury Department, Financial Management Service (FMS), has a requirement for microfilming and digital imaging services to assure that digital images and/or microfilm received from the twelve Federal Reserve Banks are matched with a search report document and mailed to the appropriate payee or agency. FMS will satisfy subject requirement by entering into a base plus 3 option year full and open competition Commercial item (CI) procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Options will be evaluated at contract award. All work will be performed at Prince George Metro Center II, Hyattsville, Maryland. The work shall be performed between the hours of 6:45 A.M. and 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday except for Federal Government Holidays. The Contractor shall receive digital images and/or microfilm necessary to resolve claims against Government checks and to reconcile checks. The Contractor shall maintain a library of the microfilm received from the FRB's to make the necessary microfilm prints to adjudicate and settle payee claims against the United States by payees of Government checks to which they are entitled but were not received, or were lost, stolen, or mutilated. The solicitation document will be released on or about March 16, 1998.
