Y -- SITE DEVELOPMENT, INSTALLATION OF GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT, ERECT BUILDING, UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, INSTALL SEWAGE EQUIPMENT SOL 1443-IFB-1500-98-001 DUE 031698 POC Ron Eilefson, Contract Specialist, PH:605-574-2523 X:130 The work to be performed under the Contract Documents generally describes civil and mechanical area wastewater treatment process improvements to the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. More specifially the work is as follows: Moderate site development, gravel road resurfacing, concrete building foundation, and wood building erection work related to a Government furnished 18' by 24' wood building. Installation of Government furnished sludge dewatering system equipment package to be located in the new equipment building. Assemby and installation of two Government furnished surface aeration units in the existing process basin, including associated structural and process modifications to the building. Utilities improvements, both underground and interior, related to the above, including sludge, water and filtrate return piping. Other items as indicated in the Contract Documents or required to provide complete and functioning facilities. All electrical improvements related to the above are covered under a separate construction contract. The work must be accomplished with the existing treatment plant remaining in continuous operation. Completion of the work will require an unusually rapid and organized effort such that the dewatering equipment is in service by mid-May and the remainder of the improvements are operational by mid-June. Cost Range is between $25,000- $100,000. Sic Code is:1623 Small Business Size Standard is $17,000,000.
