This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ 580-24-98GN). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. Line item number 1: Contractor shall provide 1 each Amida Benford Dumper, Model 50D or equal. Mechanical requirements: Perkins D3-1524, 50.0 hp diesel engine with electric starter, 4-wheel drive with power swivel feature, forward tipping bucket, automatic transmission, torque converter and canopy with lug tires; maximum safe payload of 8800 lbs., water level 50.0 cu. ft., stuck level 65.0 cu. ft., overall height 6'6", length 12'8", width 7'1". Dumper must be delivered and accepted within 56 days after receipt of purchase order and delivered FOB: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. FAR provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation provides the best value to the Government. Offerors must include completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer.
