The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to issue a cost plusplus fixed fee order under Contract N00019-97-G-0167 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidary of The Boeing Company for aircraft modifications, logistic support, support equipment, aircrew training, flight test support, the procurement of avionics, modification of avionics, and publications development for the proper integration of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System-Low Volume Terminal in the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. This requirement includes the non-recurring efforts required to incorporate MIDS Group "A" provisions into the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. Group "A" provisions shall at a minimum, include MIDS compatible equipment shelf, electrical wiring, power distribution panel, Environmental Control System (ECS),Inboard Throttle Grip, Amplifier COntrol Intercommunication (ACI), Antenna Select Panel, Aft Vloume Control Panel, Push-To-Talk Panel, Interference Blanker Unit (IBU), provisions for a down sized HARM CLCP, and IFF Notch Filters.
