J -- MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OF NUCLEAR RESONANCE SPECTROMETERS SOL N68936-98-R-0021 POC Marlena Kohler, Contract Specialist, (760) 939-1181 Clarification: This action, originally publicized in two parts in the CBD dated 1/16/98 and modified in CBD dated 1/28/98, is to clarify the following: 1) the basis of which the award will be made is best value; 2) CLINs 0002 and 0003: the period of performance for each of these Option Years is 12 months; 3)in regards to Emergency On-Call Maintenance: delete reference to "emergency", it remains as On-Call Maintenance; and 4) delete the specific evaluation criteria requirement of a one page plan detailing the steps to be taken in the event of an unexpected magnet quench (evaluation criteria #4). The requirement for a one page plan was mistakenly included in the evaluation criteria and will not be considered. All other requirements for the RFP remain unchanged. As a result of the above the due date for the offers is extended to March 9, 1998. The anticipated award date revised to 27 March 1998. (0057)
