J -- DRYDOCKING AND REPAIRS USCGC VASHON (WPB-1308) AND USCGC OCRACOKE (WPB-1307) SOL DTCG80-98-B-3FC799 DUE 041498 POC Contact Mr. Barat Baechle, Contract Specialist (757) 628-4652 Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform routine drydock repairs including, but not limited to the following Minimum items: 1) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propeller Shafts. 2) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas. 3) Renew Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings. 4) Remove and Reinstall Propellers. 5) Inspect MDE 8-inch Exhaust Flapper Valves and MDE Exhaust Piping. 6) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers. 7) Install Tank and Compartment Vent Goosenecks and Inverted Check Valves (ShipAlt No. 110-B-058). 8) Install New Engine Room Supply Ducting Louvered Inlet Assemblies (ShipAlt 110-A-055). 9) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves. 10) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers. 11) Install New Brominators (ShipAlt 110-A-056). 12) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks. 13) Remove and Reinstall Rudders. 14)Overhaul Stabilizing Fins. 15) Preserve Bilge Areas Below Fin Stablizers and Sewage Pump. 16) Prepare and Prime Weather Decks. 17) Preserve Underwater Body. 18) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s). 20) Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank(s). 21) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System. 22) Provide Temporary Messing. 23) Provide Temporary Berthing. 24) Provide Temporary Logistics. 25) Routine Drydocking. 26) Renew Plating, Piping Penetrations and Modify Bilge (Ocracoke).27) Renew Propulsion Shaft Bearings Housings (CGC Ocracoke). 28) Renew Air Handling Units (CGC Ocracoke). 29) Renew Fin Stock Bearings Housings (CGC Ocracoke). 30) Preserve Forepeak Compartment (Ocracoke). 31) Renew Sewage Tank (CGC Vashon) 32) Renew Anchor Doubler Plate (CGC Vashon). 33) Renew Watertight Hatches (CGC Vashon). 34) Renew 18-inch Exhaust Piping (CGC Vashon). AFt-Steering and Battery Spaces (CGC Vashon). Homeport for both Vessels is Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Both are 110 foot Island Patrol "A" Class Cutter. USCGC VASHON availability schedule is 15 June 1998 for forty-nine days. USCGC OCRACOKE availability schedule is 07 Sept 1998 for forty-nine days. The place of performance for both vessels is not geographically restricted. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600. Norfolk, VA. Funds are available for this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is a part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and Specifications will be issued on or after 13 March 1998. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
