Department of State (DOS) is seeking qualified sources capable of
providing 720 hours fact-finding work to assist DOS personnel in the
installation, repairing, maintaining and training of operators on
Alternate Communications Terminal equipment at Embassies located in
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and Suva, Fiji. Requirements: (1) must
currently hold a valid Top Secret clearance; (2) have a BS in computer
information systems; (3) proven hardware/software integration skills;
(4) experience in current software and networking applications; (5)
experience in training systems non-technical systems end-users; (6) and
extensive experience in U.S. telecommunications. Deliverables include
two written products (one for each post) which will include: problems
encountered in installing the Alternate Communications Terminal
equipment; a mintenance schedule; and recommendations for improving
installation procedures for future installations. The successful
offeror must possess or be able toobtain a Top Secret facility security
clearance in accordance with the terms of the National Industrial
Security Program Operating Manual (DOD 5220.22-m) prior to contract
performance. All personnel must possess DISCO Top Secret personnel
security clearances prior to beginning of contract performance. If an
uncleared firm is selected, it will be sponsored for a facility
clearance by the U.S. Department of State. Sponsorship does not
guarantee that a firm will receive the clearance. All requests for
Statement of Work must be received in the office by March 17, 1998. Fax
