The work involves construction of a new eight lane swimming pool, a new pool equipment building, and 2,000 sf bath house, housing changing rooms, toilet and shower facilities, at the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, Texas. The construction completion date is estimated to be 203 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range for construction is $500,000 to $1 Million. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about March 18, 1998, only from the Architect/Engineering Firm of Barnes Architects, 1508 West Sixth Street, Austin, Texas 78703. It is emphasized that requests for Plans and Specifications should be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Requests must be in writing. Plans and Specifications will be made available for pick-up at the A/E's office, or may be arranged for delivery at an additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid, and COD requests will not be accepted. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serv basis until supplies are exhausted. After the supplies are exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether or not a fee is warranted to duplicate the documents. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of suplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for April 8, 1998, at 2:00 P.M. local time at the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, Texas.
