Interior (DOI), Interior Service Center, has a requirement for a
qualified source to provide a review of the adequacy and findings of
scientific material relevant to the occurrence, ecosystem role, and
tested management options for Mountain Goats (Oreamnos americanus) at
Olympic National Park in the state of Washington. All relevant material
is to be reviewed and a report produced addressing the following two
key issues: 1) The status of mountain goats on the Olympic Peninsula:
Are mountain goats native or non-native?; and 2) The nature and
significance of goat effects within Olympic National Park: Are mountain
goats interfering with natural processes or systems; with the
perpetuation of natural features or native species; or with the
protection of endangered, threatened or unique species? Estimated
period of performance is approximately 330 calendar days from date of
award. Solicitation to be issued on or about March 24, 1998. The
applicable SIC and Small Business Size Standard is 8999/$5 million. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by
