B -- REQUEST FOR QUOTATION SOLICITATION FOR A FIRM, FIXED PRICE SERVICE FOR DESIGN AND OPERATION STUDIES FOR THE CONFERENCE TRAINING CENTER TO BE LOCATED IN COLUMBUS, OHIO SOL MDA240-98-Q-0001 DUE 032098 POC Tom Pfenning, Contract Specialist, (614) 693-8581, FAX 9614) 693-8581and Cheryl Marquez, Contracting Officer, (614) 693-9075 It is the Government's intent to procure a firm, fixed price Engineering Design Study (EDS), and Operational Plan Study (OPS) for the Conference Training Center (CTC) to be located at the new defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) facility. The new facility in now under construction and is located at 3990 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. The EDS will consist, as a minimum, of equipment requirements, floor plan layout, and estimated costs to implement the design. The OPS will cover all aspects, including but not limited to, the operation, operating procedures, maintenance, staffing, marketing, and startup. A timeline for implementation of all the aforementioned items will be required. Interested parties must have, or be able to obtain, prior to award, membership and accreditation as an active member with the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). Contractors will be required to demonstrate acceptable past performance on the same or similar tasks. References will be required. Delivery of final studies will be required 150 days after receipt of award. Evaluation of proposals will be based on best value to the Government.
