Notice This is a formal Notice for Bidders of the intention of the TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION (TNRCC) to contract for the Sol Lynn/Industrial Transformers Superfund Site, Houston, Texas. In general terms, the scope of the project consists of expansion of the groundwater extraction system, expansion of the groundwater monitoring system and modification of the groundwater collection system. Deadline. A more detailed summary of the work is provided in the Technical Specifications of the Contract Documents. Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. central time on March 31, 1998, at the mail room of the TNRCC, Technical Park Center, 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building A, Room 122, Austin, Texas 78753. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud thereafter in Building A, Room 123. Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 2155.074 and 2156.007, the project will be conditionally awarded to the bidder whose Bid offers the best value to the state, pending a determination that the such bidder meets all requirements for this project which are outlined in the Instructions for Bidders. Pre-Bid Conference. This site is secure and generally not accessible. A pre-bid tour/conference will be held on March 4, 1998. Site tour will begin at 9:30 A.M. central time at the northwest corner of David Street and Mansard Street, Houston, Texas Attendance at the pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged for all prospective bidders. Funding. Any contract awarded under this contract is expected to be 90% funded by a Cooperative Agreement from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the remaining 10% matched by the State of Texas. Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is a will be a party to the Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract.
