The government intends to modify on a Sole Source basis, an existing order to NAVETEK SHIPS, Ltd., to add 10 additional days of leasing for the SLICE VESSEL. The SLICE VESSEL is a SWATH (small waterplane area twin hull) type vessel that is stable in a rough ocean environment and can exceed 25 knots. Operations/exercise will take place in Honolulu, HI, and will run through 31 MAY 98. Anticipated award date: 98 MAR 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplemented with information included in this notice. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are applicable and in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. No RFQ will be prepared or made available. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will bebased on technically acceptable low bids.
