Construct new asphalt concrete parking area off of Virginia Route 24 for visitors to the North Carolina and Raine monuments. The new parking area will measure approximately 1200 square yards and provide for nine vehicles. The work will include constructing aggregate base, asphalt pavement, a grass concrete curbed island, drainage structures, pavement markings, handicap ramp and signs, concrete curb, wheel stops and sidewalk. The work may also include construction of approximately 1500 linear feet of trails to the monuments. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
