The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation to construct to the Add to and Alter Communication Facility, Buckley Air National Guard Base, Aurora, Colorado, Project Number CRWU919563. Project shall consist of approximately 5400 square foot addition and 4678 square foot alteration. This includes concrete foundation, concrete walls, steel roof structure, reinforcing steel, all mechanical and electrical work, finishes, concrete and asphaltic paving, landscaping, and selective demolition. There will be a base bid plus four (4) bid additives which includes fire alarm system, foilding wall, refinish work, and asphalt paved acess drive. The project is listed under SIC 1542, $17,000,000. The estimted bid opening date is 21 May 1998. The estimated construction period is 270 calendar days with estimated construction completion of 27 March 1999. Estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Solicitations will be available approximately 6 April 1998. The solicitation package will be limited to one set per bidder and will be issued on a first come first serve basis as the number of copies is limited. Requests for bid documents must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $82.00 for a specification copy with full-size drawings, or $57.00 for a specification copy with half-size drawings. Make all checks payable to the U.S. Department of Treasury. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The return address must be a street address and not a Post Office Box. Copies of this solicitation will be distributed to various Plans Rooms throughout the state of Colorado. The date of the site visit will be included in the solicitation package.
