The item to be procured is a M16A4 Rifle (5.56MM, magazine fed, gas operated) without the Carrying Handle Assy. The Government intends to award either a single year contract with evaluated option quantities or a two-year multiyear contract with evaluated option quantities. Both offerors shall be required to submit proposals for each acquisition method. The single year M16A4 Rifle requirement is 6,497 each. The first evaluated option period quantity for the M16A4 Rifle is 3,249 each. The second evaluated option period quantity for the M16A4 Rifle is 22,656 each. The single year also contains evaluated options for the Carrying Handle Assy. The first evaluated option period quantity for the Carrying Handle Assy is 9,746 each. The second evaluated option period quantity for the Carrying Handle Assy is 22,656 each. The two-year multiyear requirement for the M16A4 Rifle is as follows: Program Year One -- 6,497 each, evaluated option quantity -- 3,249 each; Program Year Two -- 11,328 each, evaluated option quantity 11,328 each. The multiyear contains evaluated options for the Carrying Handle Assy. The evaluated option quantity for Program Year One for the Carrying Handle Assy is 9,746 each. The evaluated option quantity for Program Year Two for the Carrying Handle Assy is 22,656 each. FOB is Origin. ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001 or equivalent inspection criteria required.
