Naval Research Laboratory has a need for one Compass 501QD/Diode Pumped Solid State Laser or equal including release from royalities payment for US Government purchase. Specifications are: Require an air cooled, actively Q-switched, frequecy-doubled Nd:YAG laser at 532nm. This laser must be capable of emitting pulses at up to 10 khz with individual pulse energies in excess of 150 microjoules/pulse at nanoseconds. This laser must be able to be randomly triggered using external pulses with a time delay between trigger and laser ouput of less than 1.5 microseconds. The laser head (including any cooling fins), must be smaller than 20x4x4 inches (length x width x height) and the total weight of the laser head (and cooling fins) and power supply must be less than 65 lbs.
