contact Mr. Pratt, jpratt@pn.usbr.gov. A CBD notice for this
requirement appeared in the 11/5/97 edition of the CBD. Reclamation had
specified ni-cad battery systems only in the solicitation. The
requirement is being modified to allow alternate systems and other
types of batteries: lead-calcium, etc. Reclamation is seeking an
interruptible power supply system that meets the requirements of the
Grand Coulee Powerplant and that requires little or no maintenance and
which offers at least a 15-year warranty, regardless of the type of
battery involved. An amendment to the solicitation will be issued after
3/1/98 to all offerors on the mailing list for the original
solicitation. Any other interested suppliers may request the
solicitation and amendment as well. (0058) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0247 19980304\61-0003.SOL)
