This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is (Request for Quotation) RFQ 07-98-019 with quotes due by 3/24/98. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulatr 97-03. This procurement falls within the definition of standard industrial classification code 5983. The small business size standard is $9.0 million. the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable to this procurement. Technical specifications are: Item 1 -- 50,000 gallons of #2 fuel oil and Item 2 -- 5,000 gallons of gasoline (Octane 85). Fuel oil needs to be delivered to a minimum 10,000 gallon holding tank (tank to be provided by the contractor) located in a agreed upon location within City of Escalante, Utah. Fuel oil tank to be accessible for the National Guard to fill their fuel trucks with approximately 5000 gallons of fuel per day for a 10 -- 14 day period starting approximately 6/15/98. The 5,000 gallons of gasoline needs to be delivered in approximately 300 gallons per time; contractor can use fuel truck or as agreed upon with the National Guard.
