Mosley, Contract Specialist, (202) 366-9570 The objective of this requirement is to obtain the necessary personnel, facilities, materials, equipment and services to perform the compliance testing services, inspection and reporting requirements necessary to determine conformance of sample Motorcycle Helmets provided to the Contractor as Government Furnished Test Items (GFTI), with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 218, Motorcycle Helmets. Reporting requirements will also be required in conjunction with the inspection and compliance testing services. Bidders must have the necessary testing facilities, materials and equipment capable of meeting the testing requirements as specified by the Solicitation and the Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance Laboratory Test Procedure TP-218-03, dated November 23, 1992. The Government may require a demonstration test at the Offeror's expense prior to Contract Award using the testing facilities, materials, personnel, and equipment that the Offeror proposes to use in the performance of the Contract. No subcontracting will be permitted. A period of performance for twelve (12) months with Option for four (4) additional one-year periods is contemplated.
