R -- TRUCK INVENTORY VEHICLE INVENTORY AND USE SURVEY SOL 50-YABC-7-66003-LPB POC Polly Beeler, 301/457-4420 The Bureau of the Census(BOC) currently has a contract for 1997 Truck Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey for records for the period August 15 -- October 27, 1997 for the 50 states and the District of Columbia with R. L. Polk & Co. The BOC intends to negotiate a modification to this contract to create two new universes for records deleted as of July 1, 1997 for the District of Columbia and another for the U.S. excluding the District of Columbia, because the state of registration did not match the mailed state. The Contractor shall provide: Truck Universe-all trucks of specified Body Type (BT) and Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW); Survey Universe-the truck universe minus the out-of-scope vehicle types; and Sample Frame-survey universe minus the non-mailables; sample tables for DC Supplemental Sample and the Out of State Supplemental Sample; Create Census File Numbers; separate CD-ROMs for the Out of State Deletes and Stratify according to the contract specifications. It is the Government's belief that R.L. Polk & Co. is the only source for this requirement. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for proposal. No solicitation document is available.
