R -- AUDIT FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OF THE SAINT LAWRENCE SEAWAY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR OCTOBER 1, 1997 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1998, WITH OPTIONS TO RENEW SECOND AND THIRD YEARS SOL DTSL55-98-R-C0382 DUE 050198 POC Linda Harding, Contracting Officer, 315/764-3244 The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to conduct a financial audit of the Corporation, for the period October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. RFP to include option to renew contract for a second and third year. The following will be required: Opinion on the Corporation's financial statements; Statements of Financial Position, Operations and Changes in Cumulative Results of Operations, Cash Flows, Budgetary Resources and Actual Expenses, Changes in Equity of the U.S. Government, and Report on Internal Accounting Controls. The audit sahll be accomplished in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. This work is to be completed by February 28, 1999. The RFP package will be released approximately March 18, 1998 and the RFP's deadline for receipt of proposals shall be approximately May 1, 1998. Requests for "Request for Proposals (RFP)" package may be requested by mail or faxed to 315-764-3235 and must be received no later than 15 days after CBD publication. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT). Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
