Z -- MAINTENANCE, REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF REAL PROPERTY -- POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT Alliant Techsystems Inc., on behalf of the U.S. Army Radford Army Ammunition Plant is seeking expressions of interest in the assumption of ownership, operation, and maintenance of utilities systems including electrical, and natural gas distribution; water processing, storage, treatment, and distribution; sanitary waste water collection and treatment; central steam and electrical generating plant and compressed air distribution system and equipment. Interested sources must have the capital, resources, and background/experience and certification to own, maintain, and operate one or more of these systems and provide capital upgrade projects necessary to keep all facilities in compliance with Army and all other Federal and State requirements. A listing of programmed future projects and estimates cost is available on request. No formal acquisition/contracting actions are immediately forthcoming. This determination of interest is one component required to complete a systematic evaluation of these systems forpotential privatization under the Department of Army's Utilities Privatization Program. Interested sources should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed four pages in length), along with a general statement of their capabilities and experience in the ownership, operation, and maintenance of similar systms, and their familiarity with compliance procedures and regulations of the Virginia Departmrny of Environmental Quality and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region III.
