PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- Pest Management Services for Navy Public
Works Center Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Pacific Division, Naval
Facilities Engineering Command (PACNAVFACENGCOM), Contracts Department,
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860-7300 intends to issue a solicitation to
acquire Pest Management Services at various Navy locations on the
Island of Oahu, Hawaii, as part of a cost comparison study following
the rules set forth in the OMB Circular A-76 and all other applicable
supplements. Service requirements include the following: (1) The
contractor shall be licensed to provide pest control services such as
eradicate insect pests, trap rodents, bait for rodents at external bait
stationing, trap mosquitoes, perform termite inspections. (2) The
contractor must furnish labor and supervision. (3) The contractor will
be responsible for planning, scheduling and service writing. (4) The
contractor must provide tools, materials, equipment and transportation
necessary to provide pest management services. -- Thecontract will be
fixed price indefinite quantity contract. -- The period of performance
includes a base period with option provisions to extend the term in
subsequent years for a total period not to exceed 55 months. The
Government will not issue a synopsis when exercising the option(s). If
a resulting facilities support contract is awarded after the cost
comparison study, selection of the best value offeror will be based on
the offeror whose proposal, conforming to the requirements of the
solicitation and meeting the evaluation factors, is the most
advantageous to the Government, price and technical factors considered.
Large and small business concerns are required to submit a
subcontracting plan. First time respondents are requested to submit
letters of interest, which includes a brief company profile and
experience statement for this acquisition, to Pacific Division, Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Contracts Department, Code 0221:VW,
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860-7300. When requesting the solicitation
package, provide the following: firm's name, complete address, point of
contact, phone number, and facsimile number. Response to this synopsis
are requested to be in writing to the Contracting Officer at the above
address, facsimile number or transmitted to the internet address
indicated, no later than March 18, 1998. Solicitation will be issued on
