Z -- IQC FOR GENERAL R&A FOR THE MILWAUKEE DISTRICT -- WI (ZIPS 530-534) SOL 193045-98-A-0536 DUE 040998 POC Doreen Xiong, (913) 831-1855 Ext. 431 Repair and Alteration and Maintenance of Postal Facilities. This will be an Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract (IQC-C) for minor repair & alteration and maintenance of Postal facilities in the Wisconsin (ZIPs 530-534) area(s). If it is in the best interest of the Postal Service and agreeable to the contractor(s), the resulting contract(s) may be extended, by supplemental agreement, to include other areas. The contract will be for a two year period with no renewal options. The total value of work orders may not exceed $3,000,000.00 over the life of the contract with a minimum $10,000.00 of work ordered over the life of the contract. No single work order may exceed $250,000 and a specific work order will be issued to specify the kind and quantity of work to be performed for each project. Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation. Evaluation Factors: Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offeror. Responsibility will be determined by financial capability, work history, and references, and through past performance the contractor must demonstrate the ability and capacity to perform this contract over the life of the contract. Estimated that $300,000.00 will be charged against this contract. This does not obligate the U S Postal Service, it is only an estimate designed to help contractors in making an offer. Bonding will be changed in increments of $100K with amounts to be determined by the contracting officer at time of award and as additional bonding is required. Bonds and Insurance: Performance and Payment Bonds, certificate of public and automobile liability insurance, Worker's Compensation, and Employers Liability Insurance are required before award to the successor offeror(s). The successful offeror will be required to submit a subcontractor minority report each Postal quarter for each workorder issued.
