COUTCH (601) 631-5451 (Site Code CW38) The Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate with General Electric Motors & Industrial Systems, 2101 Executive Drive TB, #60, Hampton, VA 23666 on a Sole Source basis. The work consists of furnishing new, replacement GF2000 digital field control regulators for the Bridge, Trolley and Hoist motions on the four Mat Sinking Unit Matboat cranes. The equipment is as follows on each of the four cranes: (1) GF2000 Bridge Motion Regulator; (1) GF2000 Hoist Motion Regulator; (1) GF2000 Trolley Motion Regulator; and all necessary auxiliary equipment to include (1) tachometer, auxiliary controls and relaying; (1) isolation transformer; (1) line protection module; (1) climate controlled enclosure; (1) two-axis master switch; (1) one-axis master switch; (4) sets of drawings and instruction manuals with renewal parts information; on-site and telephone technical support during government installation. Delivery will be on an FOB destination basis to Vicksburg, MS. Delivery of the remaining two (2) GF2000 regulators shall be made no later than 31 Jan 1999. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 3625. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government knows of only one source to provide the supplies/services referenced. Any other business source able to provide the supplies/services referenced is encourage to respond to this announcement within 15 days after its publication.
