The U.S. Army Communications Electronic Command (CECOM) intends to release a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of Counter Intelligence, Human Intelligence Automated Tool Sets (CHATS). The CHATS AN/PYQ-3(V) is a portable intelligence automation system that consists of a Pentium based laptop computer, color ink jet printer, page scanner, and digital camera, along with power adapters and phone adapters, which allow the equipment to be used worldwide. The system is contained in two hard transit cases and one soft case. The Government intends to purchase these systems under a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. Award will be restricted to 8(A) certified companies. Oral Presentations will be used to augment technical proposals. Two weeks prior to proposal submittal deadline, interested parties shall notify the Government of their intention to participate in the Oral Presentations, in order to schedule demonstrations accordingly. The Government intends to solicit and awardunder Best Value criteria. Solicitation DAAB07-98-R-E502 will be released under the CECOM Business Opportunities Webpage at http://acbop.monmouth.army.mil/. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the criteria set forth in the solicitation.
