The Department of Defense Education (DoDEA) intends to award a sole source procurement to The University of Northern Iowa. This requirement consists of the leadership development project to continue to assist secondary mathematics teachers become more effective classroom teachers, more effective in conducting service programs and more effective leaders. This summer workshop will continue the DoDDS/University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Mathematics Project which provided staff development and follow-up site visits in 1994 -- 97 for secondary teachers of algebra and geometry, model lessons for the teaching and learning in algebra and geometry classrooms, technology for teacher and student classroom use, videotapes for staff development, and newsletters for participants.
