(510) 535-7242 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. Provide all labor, material and
equipment necessary to rehab the Station Golden Gate floating pier at
East Fort Baker, San Francisco, CA. Work includes adding one 10' x 16'
and two 10' x 8' new floating docks onto the existing floating pier;
demolish and re-install concrete piles; install a hinge and skid struts
on the main pier; add 200 cubic feet of floatation units to level the
pier and restore the freeboard; install non-skid safety walk; replace
all damaged structural members, decking, floatation units, dock bumper,
utilities and hardware; replace all rollers on existing pile guides;
relocate existing shoreties; add a new light fixture; and replace a
damaged panel metal enclosure. Estimated range is $100,000 and
$250,000. Performance period is 90 calendar days after receipt of
Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration program and is open to large and small
business participation. The applicable SIC is 1629. Small Business size
standard is $17 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid,
which will be considered. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION BEING

capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to
apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
