NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Offers for Upgrading the Hazardous Waste Storage Facility at Building 27A at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. This project will upgrade the configuration of the existing Hazardous Waste Storage Facility and provide an addition of approximately 665 square feet to it. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1541 and $17.0 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about March 18, 1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about April 17, 1998. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the Contracting Officer or the Plan Holders. Requests to the Contracting Officer must be accompanied by a certified check ormoney order for $50 payable to the U.S. Treasury. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a proposal (which includes a fixed price bid) which shall be considered by the agency. The method of selection for this procurement involves hearing oral presentations from up to five offerors who submit the lowest bids on the bid due date, and is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.6 An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
