This item is being purchased in support of the National Weather Service repair programs. The item was originally provided by the Unisys Corporation [Lockheed Martin], p/n 1213637-201, cage 56232. Subsequently the item was provided by Aeroflex Laboratories, p/n 435-16841, cage 54832; and Microphase p/n SG1001, cage 8Z475 The Government intends to purchase these devises from One of the qualified sources indicated. The Government knows of no other qualified source. The spare part will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. As these parts are in support of current repair programs alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The Government does not have specifications or drawings for this item. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). The Government knows of only three qualified sources authorized to provide the device referenced. Any other small business sources able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after it's publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for a businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the item. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR part 13. The anticipated award date shall be within 20 calendar days of date of this announcement. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3679. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
