95 -- REPLACE THREE 16T/C1 COMPRESSOR ROTOR DISCS SOL F40650-98-R-0011 DUE 040398 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (931)-454-7841 This requirement is for the manufacture of three replacement rotor discs for compressor C1 in a sixteen foot transonic wind tunnel. The C1 compressor rotor discs are 186-inch O.D. machined forgings weighing approximately 60,000 pounds each. This requirement also includes the following: one set of manufactured drill jigs, twenty rotor spacer bolts 3.37 inch O.D. X 123 inch long, twenty spacer bolt lock sleeves, forty spacer bolt nuts, twenty spacer bolt lock nuts and miscellaneous data requirements. The performance period shall be 280 calendar days after contractor receipt of notification of contract award. Prospective offerors shall be required to submit documentation with their proposals that demonstrates the offeror has prior experience in the manufacture of forgings over 20 tons. Offerors failing to meet this special standard shall be determined nonresponsible and, therefore, ineligible to receive contract award. Any responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis should do so in writing and indicate whether they are a minority business concern.
