Pope, Contracting Officer (202) 305-7312 OR E-MAIL mpope@central.unicor.gov Federal Prison Industries also known as UNICOR intends to make a sole source award to Systems 2/90 Inc., 5510 33rd Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI for ancillary architectural signage components to interface with System 2/90 products within it's Architectural Sign Program. System 2/90 will be responsible for providing modular ancillary exterior architectural components and incidental way finding signage to support the UNICOR 2/90 Architectural Signage Partnership. Under the current contract, System 2/90 provides technical, marketing, sales administration, order entry, and training support. The exterior architectural signage will be manufactured at UNICOR, U.S.P. Lompoc, California. Exterior architectural signage components which consist of unique modular Aluminum Post and Panel extrusions, illuminated and non-illuminated pedestal cabinets, single and multiple post frame assemblies, monolithic cabinets, ceiling mount an wall mount directories, Kiosks, electronic and digital sighted cabinets and fixtures, will be vertically integrated into UNICOR's current product line which include the UNICOR 2/90 partnership. The ancillary architectural signage will conform to existing federal agency sign specification standards such as, but not limited to, Air Force Sign Standard AFP-88, Department of Veterans Affairs Environmental Graphics design Program Guide, Department of Transportation Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, etc. Which will be integrated into the UNICOR 2/90 Architectural Partnership. Interested persons must be able to work with the UNICOR 2/90 marketing network to provide these items and provide all support services. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by UNICOR. Anticipated award date will be made on April 6, 1998. See Note 22.... (0063)
