The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, on behalf of the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren, VA intends to award a sole-source contract to Advanced Acoustic Concepts, 200 13th Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779-6820 for CLASS support. CLASS currently provides a development tool for the AEGIS Weapon System Operator Training in support of the CAST system. AAC is the initial development contractor and sole maintenance contractor for CLASS. The contract shall include support in the area of tactical team training at the mini-team level up-to-and-including: battle force level, sub-mode or watch station, interactive and embedded training systems (hardware and software), training systems used to support the "single pipeline" training concept, and training not yet identified for new systems and associated approaches. AAC will provide technical and engineering support for both Training and Operational AEGIS Fleet requirements world-wide to support ATRC efforts to upgrade CLASS for future baselines (B/L 6 Phase III, B/L 7 Phase 1, and beyond). The contract will also include support for the next generation CLASS upgrades and infusion into Multi-Service applications. This requirement includes a base period and four option periods for a total term of 5 years. See Numbered Note 22.
