Inputs are being requested from firms capable of performing the work required to provide a replacement cooling water pump drive system for the Arc Heated Scramjet Test Facility (AHSTF). The requirements are as follows: 1) Management and engineering required to design, furnish and install a new cooling water pump adjustable speed drive system, 2) Demolition of the existing cooling water pump motor and auxiliaries, 3) Installation and integration of the new drive system with existing facility interfaces and within existing real estate, 4) Commissioning and documentation of the new drive system. NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) is issuing Request for Information (RFI) # 64-1247B on March 3, 1998 and responses will be due on March 20, 1998. Requests for contract drawings and Appendix 5.1 of the specifications will be sent upon request. Requests for the contract drawings shall be submitted to NASA Langley Research Center, Mail Stop 442, Attn: John T. Inge, Hampton, VA 23681-0001. This RFI is intended to solicit inputs to the proposed Statement of Work to provide a replacement adjustable speed drive system for the AHSTF cooling water pump, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. (0062)
