A -- ADVANCED HYBRID OXYGEN SYSTEM-AIRCRAFT (AHOSA) SOL F34601-98-G-0001/QY02 POC Phyllis J. Morse, Contracting Officer, (210) 536-5771 This is a Notice of Contract Action. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Armstrong Site, Brooks AFB, TX intends to award an order to Basic Order Agreement F34601-98-G-0001 with Litton Systems Inc., Davenport, IA. The contractor provides engineering support and services related to high purity (>99%) oxygen generators and liquefiers for aircraft applications. This award is contemplated as sole source to ensure expedient and successful completion of this development. This effort requires an integrated team composed of experts in high purity oxygen generation, cryogenics, mini-turbomachinery, and aircraft operations and integration. Selection criteria to be applied to other potential offerors shall include the following: the quality, related experience and ability of the entire integrated research team; previous high-purity oxygen generator demonstrations; the period for the team to reach full performance level; the ability to plan and integrate with Air Force users; experience and ability to integrate oxygen generation systems with USAF systems; experience and ability to manufacture/produce large oxygen generation systems; and corporate commitment to the program. Program milestones include aircraft integration consultation, design and fabricate aircraft-side hardware, concentrator and refrigerator design and fabrication, subsystem integration, safety of flight evaluation, aircraft integration and flight test support. All responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered.
