J -- EVALUATION AND REPAIR OF KLYSTRON TUBE SOL NWWG3300800238SWT POC Sharon Webster-Tyson 816-426-7129 ext. 222 The Government intends to negotiate and award a sole source procurement for the of evaluation and repair of the following equipment for the National Weather Service, National Reconditioning Center, Kansas City, Missouri: Klystron Tube, 5 each P/N L5728-20, NWS #R400-3V1. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source, Litton Electron Devices, San Carlos, CA. The intended procurement is for services and for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC 253(c)(1). This acquisition is being conducted as a simplified Acquisition under the guidelines of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13. The Government knows of only one source authorized to provide this service. Concerns having the ability to provide this service are required to give written notification to the procuring office listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. The written notice must include the following: 1) Contractor Name and Phone Number, 2) A briefstatement detailing your experience and qualifications, 3)A list and the names and phone numbers of three references whom you have provided like or similar services to. Failure to provide the information requested will result in being found non-responsive. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Litton Electron Devices whichever is determined to be advantageous to the Government without further notice. The anticipated award date is 15 days from the date of this announcement. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3671. The small business standard is 750 employees.
