Veri, (435) 833-2327 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. I. The solicitation number is DAAC89-98-R-0002. This is a request for proposal (RFP). II. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. III. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The standard industrial classification code is 4953 and the small business size standard is $6M. IV. 0001, Basic Year. Collection, hauling and disposal of refuse from 28 two cubic yard containers. Pick-up will be weekly. Quantity -- 12, Unit -- Month, Price $__ __, Total $__ __. 0002, Basic Year. Provide twelve (12) each roll off/drop box containers of at least 20 cubic yard capacity. (Containers remain the property of the Contractor.) Quantity -- 12, Unit -- Month, Price $__ __, Total $__ __. 0003, Basic Year. Collection, hauling and disposal of refuse from roll off/drop box containers. Pick-up will be on-call. Quantity -- 23, Unit -- Ton, Price $__ __, Total $__ __. 0004, Basic Year. Collection, hauling and disposal of recyclable materials from containers which provide at least 2 cubic yard capacity for each recyclable material listed below. Pick-up will be on-call. (Cardboard, Newspaper, Tin, Aluminum, Iron/Steel, Office Pack) Quantity -- 1, Unit -- Job, Price $__ __, Total $__ __. There are options for four additional years of services. Offerors, please submit price for optional years as well. Items are same as above, but for the period March 20, 1999 through March 19, 2000, March 20, 2000 through March 19, 2001, March 20, 2001 through March 19, 2002 and March 20, 2002 through March 19, 2003 respectively. V. Services shall be performed at Umatilla Chemical Depot, Hermiston, Oregon. Period of performance for the Basic Year will be March 20, 1998 through March 19, 1999. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items is applicable. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option (s). Offeror must submit a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its proposal. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition.
