Work consists of the construction of approx 18,000 ft of levee, a 45,000 gpm pump station with associated structures including headwall, gatewell and miscellaneous earthwork and piping for interior drainage. Levee work includes impervious fill, stone protection materials (riprap and bedding), inspection trench, excavation, surface and base course aggregate for the levee top and necessary topsoil and seeding. Pump Station work includes reinforced cast-in-place concrete and a metal standing seam roof supported by steel joists. Mechanical equipment includes sump pump, sluice gates with lifts and operators, flap valves, ductile iron discharge pipe, heating and ventilating equipment and installation of 45,000 gpm pump and controls. THIS PROCUREMENT IS ISSUED UNRESTRICTED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS PROGRAM (P.L. 100-656). SIC-1629; Small Bus Size Std is $17 Million. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price is in excess of $10 Million. In the event a large business firm becomes the apparent low bidder, it will be necessary for the firm to submit a subcontracting plan prior to receiving award. For the purposes of formulating the subcontracting plan on this contract, the following non- legally binding goals are provided for informational purposes only: Small Business -- 35.0%, Small Disadvantaged Business 6.0%, Women Owned Small Business -- 3.0%, Subcontracting Report (SF 294 & SF 295) -- 100.0%.
