Code DAHA17) Furnish all materials, equipment, plant and labor
necessary to construct a Base Civil Engineering Facility at Bangor
International Airport (ANG), Bangor, Maine for the Maine Air National
Guard. Work consists of construction of a single story, 1,884 square
meter building with associated parking lots and storage areas. The
building will include office type space, industrial type spaces and
heated storage. The facility shall have a combination of masonry and
metal siding. The roof shall be metal deck with steel joists, roof
insulation with single-ply membrane roofing system on flat roofing
sections and a modified bituminous sheet roofing on curved roof
sections. The structural system shall include reinforced concrete
slab-on-grade, diagonal steel bracing, steel moment frames, and masonry
shear walls. Interior finishes include CMU walls, gypsum wall board,
wall tile, suspended acoustical ceilings, vinyl and ceramic tile, and
carpeting. Mechanical systems include a boiler plant, hot water pumps,
25 ton air conditioning unit and central air handling units with
associated air distribution system. The entire building shall be
protected by an automatic sprinkler system designed in accordance with
NFPA 13. The plumbing system shall include water closets, lavatories,
counter sinks, showers and mop sinks. The electrical system shall
include 12,470 volt aerial line with underground primary to new
pad-mounted transformer. Electrical service shall be 400 amp at 277/480
volts. Office lighting shall be energy efficient fluorescent. Shop
lighting shall be pendant industrial fluorescent. Storage area lighting
shall be high pressure sodium. The fire alarm system will include
manual and automatic detection. Telecommunications wiring shall include
telephone, CCTV, and data. Wiring and speakers shall be provided for a
public address system. Project includes relocating Government
equipment. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans,
Specifications and bidding documents are anticipated to be available
on or about 13 April 1998. Cost of solicitation materials is $150.00.
