The Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment for removal of 1,200 feet of buried asbestos fibre duct extending from control shaft buildings to an underground service tunnel and replacement with new direct burial thick wall conduits having expansion fittings at the service tunnel; cables within the existing duct will be replaced with new wiring and terminated to the existing devices; removal and replacement of bituminous pavement will be required over the length of cable trench; 1,120 feet of new cable tray to replace the existing asbestos cable tray; and asbestos and legionella bacteria abatement on 560 feet of cable tunnel.
