issue Request For Proposal (RFP) F04701-96-R-0028 on or after 27 March
1998 for the Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver 2000 (MAGR 2000)
program (formerly known as the Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver --

will be considered by the Government. This announcement augments the
previous announcements published on 29 October, 1996; 26 February,

pre-planned product improvements (P3I). The RFP will be mailed to those
businesses on the source list and will be posted to the www site
(Internet address:

Mar 27, 1998. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from
offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of
this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to
communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
parties are invited to call Mr. Leslie Bordelon at (310) 363-3818. The
Ombudsman should only be contacted with issues or problems that have
been previously brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer and
could not be satisfactorily resolved at that level. This synopsis is
for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a
solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. The government will not pay for any effort expended in
responding to this notice. Potential offerors may direct any technical
questions to Majonka Carbajal, SMC/CZUP, (310) 363-0237, or any
