for two low noise fast switching frequency synthesizers for use as the
fundamental frequency source in submillimeter wave radar. Prospective
offerors who believe they can provide these items must submit clear
and convincing evidence that includes the ability to meet or exceed the
following specifications. Responses must be received within 15 days of
this notice. The frequency synthesizers shall have a frequency range
from 5 GHz to 12 GHz, be rack mountable, and have a front panel
frequency display and a remote interface. The key system specifications
are as follows: tuning resolution of 1 Hz or smaller, frequency
accuracy of 5.0 x 10(-8)/day after 30 days normal operation, switching
speed of 1 micro-second or less than 3 GHz and -115 dBc/Hz @ 20 kHz
offset for less than 10 GHz, harmonics signals of less than -50 dBc,
subharmonics signals of less than -100 dBc, spurious signals of less
than -70 dBc, and output power of 10 dBm (10 Milliwatt) or greater, a
digital parallel port capable of tuning to frequency in RAM list to
within one microsecond, a fully functional IEEE-488 interface, a strobe
in to select the next frequency and strobe out to indicate frequency
switch and the unit must be able to lock to an external 10 MHz
reference and provide an external 10 MHz reference signal. The
frequency synthesizer shall include all parts, instrumentation and
documentation required delivering a turnkey system. The required
delivery time shall be within 120 days after award of contract. (0065) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0404 19980310\66-0009.SOL)
