Solicitation Notice for the Construction of the Aircraft Parking Apron and Jet Fuel Storage Complex for the 126th Air Refueling Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, at Scott Air Force Base, IL. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete the construction of this project which includes (1) demolition of existing pavement, utilities and structures; (2) site preparation; (3) concrete pavements, jointing and markings; (4) asphalt shoulders and taxiway transitions; (5) airfield drainage systems; (6) de-icing retention system; (7) wash rack; (8) taxiway edge lighting and signage; (9) apron lighting system; (10) aircraft hydrant fueling system including but not limited to stainless steel fuel supply and return piping, in-apron hydrant fueling pits; (11) jet fuel storage complex including but not limited to operations facility, loading and unloading stands, hydrant refueling lines, two 5,000 BBL tanks. The apron is approximately 95,000 SY of concrete. The solicitation is schedule to be issued on March 23, 1998, with an estimated bid opening date of April 22, 1998. The construction performance period for this project is 365 calendar days after Notice-to-proceed. The SIC for this acquisition is 1542. This acquisition is unrestricted using sealed bid procedures.
