segmented honeycomb assembly that has a metal backing. The backing
branches out to provide anchoring points to attach the seal to the
engine and an attaching point for the honeycomb material. Function:
Prevent the airflow loss between the spacer seal and the stage 2 nozzle
seal. The loss of the air across the spacer seal results in engine
performance degradation. Dim: Approx 1.50 inches in overall width and
0.7 inches overall height. The backing material is 0.050-0.060 thick.
The part is built on a 24 degree arch and 10.105. Matl: HAST X, the
honeycomb is HAST X 0.0027-0.0033 thickness. 1309ea. Applicable to:
