36 -- WIRE MARKING MACHINE SOL F08651-98-Q1004 DUE 031898 POC Contact SSgt Cramer, Contract Specialist, (850)882-8553, Kim Williams, Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source, firm-fixed priced contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items to Kingsley Machines, 2538 Wisconsin Ave., Downers Grove, FL for the delivery of a Wire Marking Machine, Kingsley P/N: Autowire Model 23T, for 46TW/TSI. Firms responding to this synopsis will be evaluated on the ability to provide an equal based on the following criteria. The machine will incorporate an in-line spark tester, utilizing a high frequency sine wave, 2" bead chain electrode, all major components of the unit will be modular, and a micro-processor control function for feed rate, wire lengths, batch counts, dwell, and end spacing. Accommodates the wire sizes of .038" to .250" OD. Has a temperature controller that heats to 650 degrees fahrenheit, and has 40 character type wheels with A through Z, and zero through 9 with arrows, dashes and blanks, will mark up to 18 characters.
