The FAA is releasing for comment a draft specification for the Remote Radio Control Interface Unit (RRCUI). RRCIU is a future FAA sponsored acquisition anticipated to result in a contract for 250 each RRCIUs, with options for quantities up to 250 additional. The RRCIU shall allow the Remote Radio Control System (RRCS) to interface with the following systems: MALSR, PAPI, REILS, ODALS and VASI. First site delivery required within nine (9) months after contract award. Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) preferred. Descriptive literature required with initial response.
